The Symposium in Action
This is a workshop aimed primarily at Graduates of the “Be the Change Symposium”.The design of this workshop is for you as an individual to work with like-minded people in your community to uncover and create “what is yours to do” with regard to creating a socially just, spiritually fulfilling and environmentally sustainable human presence on Earth.
Many people leave the Symposium in a state of Blessed Unrest, clear that they are just awakening from the dream of progress. Said another way, they have confronted the enormity of our situation, but also feel blessed that there is time to act in partnership with the millions of like-minded groups and individuals worldwide and that they can make a difference to the outcome.
We have also found that, on completing the Symposium, people may be left in any of these places:
- Overwhelmed by the opportunity and lack of time to act
- A little isolated and in need of like-minded people with whom to explore and create projects
- Confronted by the belief that ‘it’s too late’ or ‘I can’t really make a difference’
- Looking for a kick-start
- Very inspired by the conversation of “The Symposium”, but in need of a little more time to ground the opportunity that it represents
If you find yourself in any one of these places, then this this workshop is for you. In it, we will bring our understanding of “The Symposium” together with our skill in working with individuals and groups to help you create inspiring visions and plans, and fulfill on daunting tasks. In this workshop you will not only walk out inspired with what lies ahead of you, but also in possession of some useful tools to support you with the challenges ahead.
